DANELLE
Danelle’s path to using yoga as a healing therapy is a very personal one. In 1999, she developed epilepsy as a residual effect of a past car accident. Soon after she started to pursue yoga as a tool to help her relax and she found specific pranayama, or breathing exercises, to be particularly helpful in abating the onset of a seizure. Danelle traveled to India in 2003 for her first teacher training certification at the Brahma Ashram in Kerala.
She has since studied with renowned yoga masters around the globe, as well as practitioners of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in India and China, and has studied with T.K.V. Desikachar, Dharma Mittra and Timothy McCall in the US. In addition to being a certified yoga instructor and member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, Danelle is a certified auricular acupuncture specialist and Reiki healer.
“My life’s work is to support the mind and body in obtaining the highest levels of health possible,” she says. “I am committed to passing this knowledge on to my clients, empowering them to influence their own unique health situations in a positive way, enabling them to live fully in the present and pursue their destiny. The curative powers do not lie in the practitioner you see periodically, but lie within the choices you make and the tools you have to achieve them.”
It is her passion is to help everyone, from young children to adults harmonize all aspects of their lives to achieve better health.
