FINE BALANCE WELLNESS TO PARTICIPATE IN DR. OZ’S HEALTHCORPS®
TO BRING YOGA TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

NEW YORK, August 5, 2008. Fine Balance Wellness, LLC

On August 5, Danelle New of Fine Balance Wellness inaugurated a program designed to equip high school Health Coordinators from around the U.S. to teach basic yoga postures to their students.

The yoga workshop is part of a program offered by HealthCorps®, the non-profit service organization founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz, “America’s Doctor,” and frequent guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

“I am thrilled that yoga is now an integral part of the HealthCorps® program,” says Danelle New, whose Fine Balance Wellness shares the goal with HealthCorps®, as she says, “to foster in children an understanding and appreciation of the value of a healthy body and mind.”

“We are delighted to have Danelle New and Fine Balance Wellness participating in our health initiative,” says Margo Reynolds, Director of Curriculum and Training at HealthCorps®. “Her background as a high school math teacher combined with her skills at teaching yoga uniquely qualify her to create a yoga sequences Health Coordinators can use in their schools.”

Approximately 30 Health Coordinators who work with high school students will participate in the program. The sessions, Danelle New says, “will focus on basic breathing techniques and general yoga sequencing appropriate for any age group and any skill level.”

After the summer workshop, Danelle will provide additional training for the HealthCorps® Health Coordinators in high schools in the five boroughs and on Long Island.
